Amanda is emLab’s Development Coordinator. She assists emLab’s Principal Investigators and researchers with the development of research proposals, coordinates fundraising activities, and manages administrative procedures with UCSB. She has a MESM from UCSB’s Bren School and a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Prior to her position at emLab she has been a communications officer for an environmental nonprofit, a scientific diver, a shellfish biologist, and a freelance blogger. In her free time you can find her surfing, playing rugby, or performing with her funk band.
