Ben is a Graduate Arnhold Environmental Fellow and MESM student specializing in Energy and Climate at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. Before coming to UCSB, he worked at Montana State University’s Economics department researching the effects of foreign investment in U.S. agricultural land markets. He also created outdoor films for five years and advocates for climate-forward legislation with Protect our Winters. At emLab, he works with Kelsey Jack and Kendra Walker evaluating the effectiveness of natural climate solutions using remote sensing and statistics. In his spare time, he loves to ski peaks, trail run, play guitar, and enjoy all the beauty that earth has to offer.
