Halley is interested in researching and developing collaborative solutions that are both restorative for the ecosystem and beneficial for communities. She is pursuing a master’s degree at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management specializing in Coastal Marine Resources Management with a focus in Strategic Environmental Communication. Halley comes to Santa Barbara from Maine where she worked in the oyster aquaculture field for years, combining her love for applied research and working on the water. Halley is a graduate student researcher with emLab, working on a project that examines the distribution of benefits from fisheries access agreements. In her free time she enjoys cooking and baking and loves to be outdoors - camping, hiking, running, and gardening.
