Mika is an Arnhold Environmental Undergraduate Fellow. She will be working on a team studying spatial planning for area conservation in the face of climate change, with a focus on how climate change will impact the location and intensity of human-wildlife conflict. She also works in the Macdonald lab studying environmental drivers of infectious disease, and in the Chemistry department as an Undergraduate Student Advisor. Previously she was an Orientation Staffer as well as a barista. She will be entering her fifth year at UCSB as an environmental studies major. Outside of work, she is a member of the UCSB Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team and enjoys backpacking and cooking.
