Felipe Jordán

Bio

Felipe Jordán is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Economics and the Institute for Sustainable Development at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He received his Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government from Harvard University and was a postdoctoral scholar at the Environmental Markets Lab at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research lies at the intersection of economic development, political economy, and environmental economics, with a focus on how Western and traditional institutions and cultures interact to shape environmental, economic, and social outcomes in rural landscapes around the world. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music and exploring Chile’s diverse natural landscapes with his family.
