Flavio is a Ph.D. student at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management with a focus on environmental economics. Currently, his research is on low-income household's energy use. At emLab, Flavio works with Professor Kelsey Jack studying incentives and barriers to accelerate households' transition to clean cooking fuels in Ghana. Before coming to UCSB, Flavio had worked in a wide range of research projects in developing countries, intersecting public policy, environmental sustainability, and economic development. In his free time, Flavio enjoys playing the guitar, researching music, planning wine-themed trips, and long-board surfing.
