Linus is a PhD student at the Bren School pursuing the emphasis in Environmental Economics and Science. His current work includes an analysis of the agroeconomic impacts of the Amazon Soy Moratorium and a paper looking at the local economic impact of public lands. Prior to joining Bren, Linus was the director of the Food and Agriculture and Conservation programs at the Breakthrough Institute, a California-based environmental think tank, where he is currently a Senior Fellow. Linus got his Bachelor's degree from Cambridge University and his Master's from the School of Forestry at Yale University. When not working, he enjoys birding, hiking, and traveling.
