Abhishek Sharma

Bio

Abhishek is a Postdoctoral Researcher contributing to emLab’s efforts in enhancing India’s energy transition by developing models and datasets for resource adequacy and long-term electricity system planning. His work focuses on leveraging tools like GridPath to assess renewable energy capacity and its integration into India’s national and state-level grids. Previously, Abhishek worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Kanpur, where he led projects on electric load forecasting and renewable energy optimization for Indian Railways. Abhishek earned his PhD from PDPM-IIITDM Jabalpur, where his research centered on deep learning approaches for electric load forecasting. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new technologies and engaging in community-driven initiatives.
