Maxwell Pepperdine

Bio

Maxwell is a 2nd-year MESM student specializing in Conservation Planning. Working in collaboration with Conservation International (CI), emLab, and other UCSB peers to support the SPARCL project, his research focuses on predicting the frequency and distribution of human-elephant conflict (HEC) in Registered Communal Conservancies throughout Namibia. Before coming to Bren, Maxwell received his B.S. in Environmental Management & Protection at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), SLO with a minor in Biology and Sustainable Environments. Outside of school and work, Maxwell enjoys hiking, surfing, playing disc golf, and pretty much any other outdoor activity
