Tracey Mangin

Bio

Tracey is a Data Scientist at emLab who investigates the environmental, economic, and social implications of market and policy interventions. Her research is focused on sustainable natural resource management, climate resiliency, and environmental equity. Before working at emLab, Tracey worked as a research consultant on various projects related to marine fisheries management. She has a Master’s from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, where she specialized in economics and politics of the environment, and a B.A. in Philosophy and Environmental Studies from Santa Clara University. Tracey is interested in developing sound, data-driven insights to identify environmental and social challenges and practical solutions that have the potential to improve livelihoods. In addition, she is particularly interested in the intersection of ethics and data science. When not working, Tracey enjoys playing field hockey and looking for seashells and other treasures on the beach.
